Canada Excellence Research Chair – Automotive Engineering for the Future

The University of Windsor invites outstanding applications for a Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) opportunity in Automotive Engineering for the Future, dependent on funding. The focus of this Chair will be in the areas of advanced electric vehicle batteries and components, connected and autonomous vehicles, or vehicle infrastructure security. The appointment will be a full-time tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the Faculty of Engineering, which hosts one of Canada’s leading centres of research for advanced automotive engineering.

The successful candidate must be an internationally renowned or recognized scholar in the area of connected, autonomous, secure, and electric (CASE) automotive engineering. The University of Windsor welcomes proposals from any area in this emerging discipline. The Chair is expected to establish, conduct, coordinate, and lead research projects, while engaging with industry, community, and professional partners, and to supervise undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdoctoral fellows. In addition, the chair must be eligible for licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (https://www.peo.on.ca/index.php/licence-applications)
