Eija Tuominen is team leader of Quantum Sensors at VTT Microelectronics and Quantum Technologies in Finland. In addition, she adjunct professor in the instrumentation of particle physics in the University of Helsinki. She is also a member of the CERN CMS collaboration. She has doctoral degree in microelectronics and master’s degree in nuclear and energy technology from the Helsinki University of Technology. Her specialties are sensors, semiconductor devices, nanofabrication, and quantum technologies. She is the chairperson of the Helsinki Association of Women
esearchers (HELWOR). She has worked especially with the themes of sexual harassment and implicit bias. She has about 100 peer-reviewed journal articles about radiation detectors and about 1000 about particle physics. She has strong expertise in international networking, evaluation panels, peer- review activities, project leadership, and supervision of students and post-doc researchers.
