Full Professor of Biomechanics (chair) at University of Bayreuth

At the Faculty of Engineering Science at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, a W3 Professorship for Biomechanics is to be filled at the earliest possible date.

As a scientist you are working in the field of Biomechanics with background and a distinctive research profile in the fields of Prosthetics, Orthotics and Implantology, or Sports equipment technology and function-integrated lightweight-design solutions, or Digital applications / wearables related to Biomechanics.

It is intended to combine the position as professor with a management position at Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Bayreuth.

Cooperation with existing research groups within the faculty and involvement in cross-faculty focus areas as well as cooperation with non-university based research facilities would be highly welcome. Female scholars and any persons who can help make the research and teaching profile of the university more diverse are strongly encouraged to apply.
