The Cluster of Excellence “Data-Integrated Simulation Science” (EXC 2075) and the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech) at the University of Stuttgart are seeking to hire a
Cluster Computing Systems Expert in the Field of Simulation Science (m/f/d, full-time, salary group up to TV-L E14)
to start as soon as possible for a period of three years.
With some 25,000 students, more than 5,000 staff and significant external funding, the University of Stuttgart is a globally acclaimed, leading technology-focused university. It advocates an interdisciplinary approach, integrating engineering, humanities and natural and social sciences building on cutting-edge research in each discipline.
The Cluster of Excellence “Data-Integrated Simulation Science” (EXC 2075) was established in 2019 in the framework of the German Excellence Strategy with an initial funding period of seven years. It builds on the previous EXC 310, which ran from 2007-2018 establishing the University of Stuttgart as a world leading research center for simulation technology. A Cluster of Excellence is the most significant and substantial grant for collaborative research funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). SimTech is the only Cluster with a research agenda of integrating simulation science and data science into a new paradigm bringing together interdisciplinary teams of researchers from seven faculties at the University, nearby academic institutions, and international research groups.
