The prestigious “Carlotta Award 2025”, celebrates the achievements of young women scientists in the field of wheat research. This 3rd edition is open to female researchers under the age of 40 and will highlight two key scientific areas: “Wheat genetics, genomics, and breeding” and “-Sustainable wheat production for food security, quality, safety, and the durum wheat–pasta value chain”.
Applicants are invited to submit an abstract describing their original research work, along with a detailed curriculum vitae and a list of publications.
An international jury of experts will select four winners (1st and 2nd place in each scientific area). In addition, four special mentions will honour outstanding women scientists from developing and emerging countries, recognizing the excellence and innovation of their research. Winners will be celebrated at the prestigious “International Conference From Seed to Pasta V”, taking place in Bari, Italy, from 24–27 September 2025.
The Award is inspired by Carlotta Parisani Strampelli, a pioneering figure and close collaborator of the renowned Italian geneticist Nazzareno Strampelli.
