The Workshop “Women of Science for the Building of a World of Peace” took place in Bari, Italy, 6 November 2024.

This workshop was organized by the International Consortium of Research Staff Associations (ICoRSA) to raise awareness about the role of women in armed conflicts as victims and as active participants in war and peace-building, including their role as women scientists. The workshop was target to students, researchers, and trainers to increase their knowledge on current and forgotten conflicts and on the peace-building action of women in war zones. The 2024 data of the Global Peace Index were shown. EPWS President Lucia Martinelli presented the role of museums in supporting a cultural education for values that wars crush, and in bringing to light unspoken shames that should not be denied.
