The European Commission, Directorate General for Research and Innovation, is recruiting a Principle Advisor for Gender in Research and Innovation. Candidates with Bulgarian or Romanian nationality can apply.
The main task of the Principal Adviser will be to ensure that gender issues are adequately taken into consideration and integrated in the various fields and domains covered by Horizon 2020 and all its specific programmes concerning research and innovation. He/she will also be in charge of spearheading gender support among senior managers and of helping reaching the 40% target of under-represented sex in Commission expert groups, advisory groups and panels by the end of 2013.
The Principal Adviser will directly report to the Deputy Director-General of DG RTD responsible for Innovation and the ERA and will collaborate with the RTD-service in charge of Gender in research and innovation under the responsibility of the Deputy Director-General. He/she will also liaise with the other services relevant to these issues.
