Created in 1995, ASDO is a research organisation specialised in the study of contemporary societies from a gender perspective. It has worked on the renovation of the epistemological, theoretical and methodological apparatus of social sciences, and particularly of sociology. This allowed ASDO to carry out training initiatives geared to promote greater participation of women in economic, political and social life, also as regards leadership positions.
