The GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies / Leibniz-Institut für Globale und Regionale Studien is an independent social-science research institute based in Hamburg. It analyses political, social and economic evelopments in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East and combines this analysis with innovative comparative research on international relations, development and globalisation, violence and security, and political systems. The GIGA seeks to appoint a Research Fellow in Political Science.
The successful candidate will contribute to the GIGA-based research of the “international diffusion and cooperation of authoritarian regimes – IDCAR network”, funded by the Joint Initiative for Research and Innovation of the Leibniz Association, in the context of GIGA Research Programme “Legitimacy and Efficiency of Political Systems”.
