Head of European Union and Regional Development Unit at FUNDACION LABEIN, she has a Postgraduate in European studies and a BSc in Economics and Business (International Economics and Development). The work undertaken at the European Commission and at the Regional Delegation in Brussels together with the consultancy has permitted her to be familiar with European Commission tendering procedures. She has both, a theoretical and applied knowledge of European policies and regulations and their impact on regional economies. She is an expert project manager with a large experience in managing EU Regional Development Programmes and projects. She has been involved in innovation research and co-operation projects funded by local, national and European administration as well as strategic studies related to innovation, technology transfer and clustering.
Main projects on equal opportunities for women and men in the past years were:
- WIBAT (EQUAL): Promotion of Women in Innovation Management and Applied Technology. The common objective for this project is to reduce, and possibly eliminate, gender inequality, horizontal and vertical segregation of woman in the employment market, with special concern for the business and ICT sector. The project EMATEK is implemented in Spain at regional level (Basque country- provinces of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa).
- CAMARINES (ASIA-URBS): To build business management skills in small co-operative enterprises ruled by women in Camarines Sur (2002-2004).
