Careers: ICN2 Junior Group Leaders Positions

ICN2 (www.icn2.cat) is an internationally-renowned research centre devoted to studying the behaviour of matter at the nanoscale. The Institute promotes collaboration among scientists from diverse backgrounds (physics, chemistry, biology, engineering) to develop basic and applied research, while also seeking out new ways to interact with local and global industry.

Description:

We are offering the opportunity for young researchers to join the ICN2 as Junior Group Leaders (JGL) to develop an independent line of research. These are up to three non-tenure track positions with a duration limited to five years.

We are looking for applications from highly-talented, innovative young scientists. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent scientific record in nanoscience and nanotechnology, preferably in relation to the four core areas (Energy, ICT, Health, and Environment) being pursued at ICN2 within the Severo Ochoa programme.

Candidates are expected either to hold or, having submitted a strong proposal, be successfully awarded an ERC Grant or similar. International mobility experience is compulsory.
