President of the Republic of Lithuania H.E. Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—
The conference is organized by Vilnius University, BASNET Forumas association, the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and the Horizon 2020 project GENERA.
The conference aims to discuss the progress of the European Research Area (ERA) in terms of gender equality, emphasizing the need to align development of ERA priorities by consolidating efforts of ERA stakeholders and EU research networks.
The agenda of the event will include a policy debate on ERA development and discussions on the practical outcomes from past initiatives promoting systemic cultural change in research performing and funding organizations as well as the key factors enabling successful design and implementation of gender equality in STEM research organizations.
The second day will be devoted to the Baltic States Gender in Physics Day.
The conference will provide a forum for high-level policy makers from the European Parliament, European Commission and the Baltic Sea Region countries, executives of research organizations and stakeholder networks as well as currently active Horizon 2020 projects.
