W3 Professorship for Quantum Computing at KIT

In Division V – Physics and Mathematics – at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Department of Physics, Physics Institute or Institute for Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics a W3 Professorship for Quantum Computing is to be filled at the earliest possible date.

As a scientist you are working theoretically and/or experimentally in the field of solid-state-based and hybrid quantum technologies. Examples are superconducting circuits, semiconductor and molecular systems, quantum optics, experience in the selective manipulation of quantum states and light-matter interactions. It is expected that you develop a coherent research program between KIT and the University of Strasbourg within the EUCOR network in the field of quantum technologies. KIT offers a variety of coordinated research activities to which you will contribute. The link to the University of Strasbourg is being considered within the framework of a part-time job.
