The conference “Exploring the Gender Gap in ICT and AI: State of the Art and Future Prospects” was organized by the Equal Opportunities Committee (CPO) of the regional in-house company InnovaPuglia. Speakers included experts in the fields of ICT (information and communication technologies) and AI (artificial intelligence), political decision-makers and personalities involved in equal opportunities committees and commissions. Public participation –both men and women– was remarkable. The event was an opportunity to raise awareness of the issue and advocate change, with the aim of creating a network of professionals, both men and women, motivated to reduce the gender gap and encourage training and skills development activities in the fields of ICT and AI.

EPWS President Lucia Martinelli made a presentation at the ICT session, which was moderated by Gianna Avellis, President of ICoRSA and member of the Italian W20 delegation.
