Professorship in Engineering Geodesy at University of Applied Sciences Mainz

The department of Geoinformatics and Surveying is looking for a research orientated personality who has profound knowledge and practical experience in engineering geodesy. In close cooperation with the departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering, we strive to implement and develop methods that enable Building Information Modeling (BIM) in teaching as well as in research.

 

 

For the open position of the professorship in engeneering geodesy, this implies experience in automatization and digitalization and interest in automated and distributed multi-sensor systems, e.g. for interdisziplinary monitoring of buildings. The appointed professor will support the teaching activity of the department with focus on practical professional skills, general subjects for Bachelor students and specialized subjects for Master students such as sensor technology, line routing, structural monitoring, 3D measurement technology, CAD modelling and BIM. Research activities of faculty members are conducted via the institute i3mainz and we invite collegues to join in with research projects as well as with cooperations with industrial partners.
