The University of Groningen is looking for a PhD in the international Project Scientific Personae in Cultural Encounters available at the University Groningen. This project is a cooperation between the University of Stockholm (Niskanen), the University of Leuven (Wils), the University of Groningen (Bosch) and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin (Oertzen).
“The PhD project focuses on the way in which the International Federation of University Women through its fellowship program and intense international exchange enabled (young) women researchers and university based scientists to develop scientific personae that helped them in their scientific career in a time when the research university developed in a reconstituted international field of force (1920-1940).
Applicants are encouraged to develop and submit their own description of the PhD project in no more than two-three pages (about 1000 words) based on the original research proposal (available via Prof. Mineke Bosch).
Please note that a job advertisement for a similar PhD position is available at Stockholm University.
For this position you can contact Prof. Kirsti Niskanen, e-mail: kirsti.niskanen@historia.su.se “
