Founded in 1982, the network addresses active and retired women engineers. At local level, Femmes Ingénieurs aims at raising awareness among students and general public on the issue of women engineers, participates in the jury of scientific and technical prices, contributes actively in think tanks to promote the development of all initiatives on the subject and promotes statistics on women engineers in France. At international level, Femmes Ingénieurs collaborates with organisations such as the International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists (ICWES), the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES) and the International Institute of Women in Engineering (IIWE).
