The Association was founded in December 2003 by a group of scientists and scholars from several disciplines. Its main objectives are: to promote women’s participation in scientific research; to build an Italian network of women in research in order to facilitate the communication about projects and activities and the circulation of information; to collect documents and information regarding the situation of women in research institutions, regulation and policies; to promote research, organize conferences and other events aimed to an in-depth understanding of the aspects concerning women’s subjectivity and experience in scientific research; to promote and facilitate the participation of women in science to national and international events.
