Mapping the Portuguese Women in Science

 

The Portuguese Women in Science Map is a project from the Portuguese Association of Women in Science (AMONET). The interactive map contains information about portuguese women that made a significant contribution to the advance of a specific field of research and/or science in general. The digital map in divided in 11 main scientific areas: Architecture, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Informatics, Mathematics, Medicine, Meteorology, Physics and Social Sciences. The Portuguese women humanists, pioneers and artists were also identified

The project was developed by Dr. Isabel Lousada (Principal Investigator, Historic research) and Dr. Vasco D. B. Bonifácio (Map construction and Historic research).
