Conference session ´It´s time for structural change, sister!’

Three currently running EU funded ‘sister projects’ on structural change in academia and research are cooperating on a joined session for the 18th annual STS conference – Critical Issues in Science, Technology an Society Studies, May 6-7th 2019 in Graz:
- CHANGE (coordinator Anita Thaler, IFZ Graz and work package leader Jennifer Dahmen-Adkins, RWTH Aachen),
- GEECO (coordinator Brigitte Ratzer, TU Vienna) and
- TARGET (coordinator Angela Wroblewski, IHS Vienna)
The main aim of these structural change projects is it to support research performing organisations (RPOs) to design and implement gender equality plans.

For the session, the organisers are inviting gender scholars and practitioners who discuss approaches and experiences to institutionalise gender equality in research performing organisations and research funding organisations. The call for abstracts is open until January 21st, 2019:

They are especially interested in lessons learned from approaches which have proven to be successful for a cultural change towards more gender equality in academia / science and research but also reflections of initiatives which did not work out.
