Renata Siemieńska is full professor and chair of the Department of Sociology of Education at the Institute of Sociology, the Warsaw University, Director of the Institute for Social Studies of the Warsaw University, Head of the Centre of Interdisciplinary Gender Studies of the Institute for Social Studies of the Warsaw University and Chairperson of the UNESCO Chair “Women, Society and Development” of the Warsaw University. Her research activities and publications focus on comparative cross-national value systems, ethnic relations, women’s public participation, reconciliation of work and family, family and socialization, gender and academic careers.
