Mar Fernandez-Nieto obtained her M.D. at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid in 1993. She has been a consultant allergist and clinical researcher at the Fundación Jiménez Diaz, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, since 1999. Previously she received special training in Allergy at the University Hospital Doce de Octubre (Madrid) and she completed her postgraduate studies as a clinical research fellow at Southampton General Hospital, Asthma Department.
