GENDERACE Project on multiple discrimination: Final Conference

Brussels, June 22, 2010
Université Libre de Bruxelles

GENDERACE is a 30-month research project (2008-2010) supported by DG-Research under the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme.

This collaborative project brings together research teams from six European countries (Belgium, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and Bulgaria), jointly coordinated by the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the University of Barcelona (UB).

The project has been designed to improve our understanding of the phenomenon of multiple discrimination (‘race’ and gender) and to develop practical tools allowing administrations, NGOs and specialised bodies to better assess the effectiveness of policies and practices in the field of anti-discrimination when faced with cases of multiple discrimination.
