Gender balance in Decision-Making

The recent financial crisis has brought to light the lack of women in economic decision-making positions in Europe. In banking, business, politics and public administrations men continue to outnumber women in senior positions despite the increased number of women among university graduates and in the labour market.

This report examines the current situation and trends and also considers ways in which the advancement of women can be supported and accelerated to get more women in senior positions.
