That’s the clear message of For Women in Science, an international programme to promote and highlight the critical importance of ensuring greater participation of women in science.

“For Women in Science, founded ten years ago by L’Oréal and UNESCO, awards fellowships and bursaries to exceptional female scientists across the globe. The programme recognises women who have made key contributions in science across all disciplines, from astrophysics to zoology. Even today, as in the past, women scientists and their role in driving science forward may be invisible. This is why L’Oreal and the UK Resource Centre for Women In Science, Engineering and Technology believe it’s important to celebrate great women scientists, of the past and of today, to inspire those of the future.”
