EPWS General Assembly 2017 elects new EPWS Board of Administration


The 11th EPWS General Assembly, hosted in the Royal Belgian Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels on 5 September 2017, was attended by 30 members from 10 European countries and Armenia. According to schedule, the General Assembly elected a new EPWS Board of Administration (2017-2019).

 


The 11th EPWS General Assembly was hosted in the Royal Belgian Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels on 5 September 2017, in a beautiful room surrounded by huge dinosaur skeletons (!) thanks to Carole Paleco, member of the Steering Committee of the Belgian association BeWiSe, an EPWS full member. The General Assembly was attended by 30 members from 10 European countries and Armenia. The statutory issues were presented, including the impressive list of actions realised by EPWS members since the General Assembly 2016, followed by a lively discussion.

Dr. Brigitte Mühlenbruch, EPWS President since 2009, did not stand for office again. The founder of EPWS addressed the General Assembly in a moving farewell encouraging the Platform to continue its present path. The General Assembly heartily thanked Dr. Mühlenbruch for her ever-lasting commitment and dedication to the Platform before and after its creation in 2005.
