After a short introduction, pointing out that several countries do not have such Gender actions plans, this report lists the common points between Member States in this matter (a legal structure, a committee and an equal opportunity officer, gender-disaggregated statistics, periodic reports) and also the specificities. Then  the measures taken for Gender Equality in Higher Education and Research in Germany, Scandinavia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, United Kingdom, Switerland are described in detail.
