“The WILS (Women in Life Sciences) database, an initiative of the ELSO Career Development Committee, was designed to improve the visibility of female life scientists in Europe. The database allows for easy browsing and searching of female experts who are qualified to speak at conferences or seminars, participate in committees, review manuscripts or to fill top positions. Over 500 female life scientists, ranging from advanced post docs to independent group leaders, have registered.
Now freely accessible via the EMBO website, the WILS database has been used to help identify suitable female candidates for all levels of tasks and positions.
You are invited to browse the online database and to encourage female colleagues to register.
The database is supported by EMBO and FEBS as part of the commitments of both organizations to promote gender balance in the life sciences in Europe.”
