Call for Papers: Social Work from the perspective of the 21st century

in cooperation with international partners invite you to take part in the II International Scientific Conference Social Work from the perspective of the 21st century. Poverty Work Health, which will be held in Warsaw (Poland) on March 2, 2016 Wednesday

 

The idea of the conference

The aim of this conference is a meeting of representatives of the various disciplines involved in the process of  and health in the area of social work. The theoretical aspect of it has to enable deeper and wider understanding of the issue. However, in the area of practice will be developed to learn the methods of social work and to develop new opportunities in order to minimize the risk of social exclusion. It should be emphasized that the aim of the Conference is multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary perspective on issues undertaken in order to develop a common approach for further theoretical and practical activities.

The Conference will bring together social workers, policy making and research, and provide an opportunity to share their experiences, common problems and strategies at different level of social work. We would like to invite participants from Poland and other countries – researchers interested in similar issues. The main topics of the International Conference on which abstracts and papers will be the following sub-problems:

General questions:

1.  Social work in the 21st century 2.  Universality od social work 3.  Social work with selected groups and communities  4.  Profession and professionalism in social work  5.  Multicultural in social work

Poverty:

1.   Poverty as a social problem 2.   Social inequality 3.   The life quality of selected social groups 4. Methods of social work with people affected by poverty and social exclusion

Work:

1.   Unemployment as social issues. The contemporary labour market – conditions and trends 2.   The labour market of selected social groups 3.   Work, unemployment and poverty 4.   Good practice in social work

Health:

1.   Health of society in the 21st century 2.   Health in theory and practice 3.   Social inequalities in health 4.   Life style and health 5.   Social policy and health of society

The official language of the conference will be Polish / English (we accept Slavic language) Abstracts of up to 300 words with a list of up to 4 key words and Author’s first name, surname and affiliation should be submitted by e-mail to the Conference Coordinator Martyna Kawińska: m.kawinska@uksw.edu.pl
